Wadudu Insect Center opens its doors

Beilen – The Wadudu insect center in Beilen opens its doors on Saturday, November 4. Deputy Henk Jumelet, Alderman Gerard Lohuis and Janmar Katoele from Wadudu will perform the official opening.

The insect center combines breeding, research and advice to achieve a sustainable interpretation of insect farming in Northwest Europe. The insect center breeds two types of insects: mealworms and Black Soldier Flies. In collaboration with Van Hall Larenstein Hogeschool and Aeres Hogeschool, Wadudu has started a project with breeding Black Soldier Flies on residual flows in poultry houses.
