Wadudu Insect Center works together with the Drenthe Labor Market Region. The Drenthe Labor Market Region consists of the municipalities of Midden-Drenthe, Coevorden, Hoogeveen, Borger-Odoorn, Emmen, De Wolden and the UWV. Together with the SW companies Stark and the EMCO group, jobs are being created for people at a distance from the labor market.

Many people who once had a distance from the labor market work in our Insect Nursery. Everyone deserves a chance on the job market. You don’t learn to work, but living without working isn’t good either. Work gives you the feeling that you matter, that you belong, that you are stimulated to develop and that gives structure.
Wadudu works together with the municipality of Midden-Drenthe and training company Stark in Hoogeveen. This collaboration is of great importance to us and our employees.

Theo Schuman is one of the employees of Wadudu. He started in the spring of 2019 and now enjoys working 32 hours a week at the insect farm.
