Insects are being cultivated on an increasingly large scale and the use of insects as production animals is growing rapidly. This development is expected to continue at a rapid pace. The Netherlands is one of the leaders worldwide in this respect. One can therefore speak of a promising new livestock farming sector.

Research

Insects in poultry. This will further investigate the effects of feeding Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae on the welfare, health and production of laying hens.
